Christmas is literally around the corner! I am sure you are all very excited! I am very excited as well! I am going away for the holidays and can not wait! It will be my first Christmas without snow!
Here are some assignments and concepts we are working on and finishing up in Grade 5 this month:
--All the remaining activities and comprehension questions for the novel Loser
--Multiplication and Division strategies in math
--A Recipe For a Perfect Christmas writing activity
--Partner winter story books
--Two more weeks of spelling exercises and tests: unit 14 this week and unit 15 next week
--Christmas art activities
--First Peoples unit in Social Studies: land regions, how the land was used by First Peoples, tools First Peoples used, etc.
--Star of the month stories for December
--baking with our Buddy Reading partners
There is still lots to do but also a lot of fun to be had in December!
